and all the priests who support the Conference.

Music Ministry

Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the music ministry

has grown, both in numbers and spiritually over the

last fifteen years and delights in leading God's

people in praise and worship whenever they can.

A FAMILY CONFERENCE

The Conference team wishes to promote and support young children and

teenagers to participate in the Conference. They are an important and integral

part of the week. It is hoped that parents and guardians will encourage children

and young adults to attend the programmes laid on for them and also in the adult programme when appropriate.

Kids of the Kingdom is a stream at the Birmingham Conference

which is provided for children ages 7 - 12.
We are happy to have siblings younger than 7, who are 5 or 6.

Our aim is to provide the children at the conference with a dynamic and creative input

which reflects the theme of the conference and also caters for their spiritual and social needs.

We take time to pray, through music, art, sign language, meditation and drama.

Participants of previous years have made friends who they look forward to meeting year after year!

Kids of the Kingdom runs during all the adult input times and parents collect their children for break,

lunch and dinner times and during the evenings.
Every afternoon we take time to just enjoy being together; we usually go to the park next door to play games

and get some fresh air. British summers aside, the weather is normally kind to us!

This year, we are starting a new venture where we are going to collaborate with the Youth Stream.

Some of the young people are going to have some input into Kids of the Kingdom, through music, prayer and games.

Throughout the week we prepare music, drama and readings for the final Mass of the conference which we lead.

Finally, all the adults who work with
Kids of the Kingdom are CRB checked

and are qualified teachers or have experience in working with children.
If you have any questions about the Kids of the Kingdom

then please get in touch and we look forward to seeing you in August!!

God bless,
Frances Baines & Zara Mustafa
(Kids of the Kingdom Co-ordinators)

The Conference is unable to take children under 4 into this

programme and any such children need to be with their

parent throughout the week.

CHOSEN

Youth Group

Chosen by God

This Youth Conference is being run by past members of the Youth Conference team

as well as some new faces who for years have been attending the Conference.

We are keen to foster and encourage young adults in all respects of Catholic worship from

traditional Catholic prayer through to charismatic renewal. All of the team have experience in Christian

youth work. As the conference team we will encourage you to develop and use your own talents,

and how to apply them to life as a young Christian today. We aim to focus on young people aged 14+.

Each session will be informative and an action packed in depth look at our faith as Catholics and what it means.

The week will be filled with radically different things from what you're used to.

There will be workshops to discover your gifts. There will also be new and exciting ways to worship God

in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. There may even be an off site excursion!

There will also be the opportunity for the youth to show their

flair and lead the mass on Wednesday night with the main Conference.

The youth are also encouraged whenever possible to participate in the adult conference

especially at the healing mass on the Thursday night.

 All are welcome...

God Bless

Patricia Dufficy & Catherine Syzmanski

(Chosen Youth Group Co-ordinators)

PARENTS OR GUARDIANS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE BEHAVIOUR

OF THEIR YOUNG PEOPLE AT ALL TIMES.

All the leaders have been CPA (Child Protection Agency) checked.

Perants are asked to register their children each day and are required

to collect them at the end of each children's session (please check children's timetable).

It is essential for the smooth running of the Conference that

parents take responsibility for their children outside the children's programme

and for their behaviour at all times.
