This album was inspired by the works of Abbess Hildegard of Bingen, 1098 - 1179. She was one of the best known religious figures of the Middle Ages. A visionary, poet and composer, she inspired popes, bishops, clergy and laity becoming a leading religious and political figure in her time. The songs and music on this CD are Composed by Meg and written over a long period, reflecting Meg's spiritual journey to the present time. |

Track 1. Meg's Song "Feather on the breath of God" was inspired by another composition from Hildegard, the music and lyrics are by Meg.
Track 9 "You knew me"
Track 11 "He is God"
Track 12 "Sou Gan"
The "Perfume Makers" (perfume is a metaphor of Divine Grace) are the clerics of Trier; Maximinus was the patron of the Benedictine abbey there and Hildegard probably wrote this poem for them. The imagery and general conception owes much to Ecclesiasticus 50,v 1-26, a celebration of the High Priest Simon. The Holy Spirit hovers symbolised by the dove and the lattice. Hildegard explains the latter symbol as the window of Christ's mercy through which shines the perfect revelation of the New Testament.

Kathleen Boyle (Birmingham Catholic Charismatic Renewal Conference) "Anointed Music"
Dennis Wrigley (Maranatha Community) "This album is clearly one of the most outstanding in recent years. The combination of words and music is profoundly moving and will draw the listener into the heart of God. Many will be inspired by the duo, whose brilliance shine out of each track"
