On
the 31st October each year, house holds, schools, youth
clubs, different organization will be preparing some sort of Halloween
event, including some Christian Churches. Today
people are not aware of what Halloween is and why it is celebrated each
year. The people here in Great Britain and else were in the world; have
been made to believe that it is a time of fun for adults and kids. Most
people will tell you that it is only a bit of fun. However, it is
Satan's main feast day and his disciples do not look at it that way. For
them it is a great way to educate the kids by making it fun to do. Of
course you may say, 'We don't take it seriously', but
Satan does and so does God. This is particularly true when the
church, which He purchased with His blood, builds haunted houses in its
fellowship halls, so that the little lambs that have been entrusted into
its care can be opened up to invading spirits of fear, torment and
confusion. HOW THIS MUST GRIEVE THE LORD!
HALLOWEEN: “The
Feast of All Hallows” It
is the Black Sabbath when all the disembodied spirits are called up to
roam the earth. It is the time when Satan Worshippers offer the
Black Mass to Desecrate the Body of Christ in the Eucharist. To do so
they need a ‘Consecrated Host’ from a Catholic or Orthodox Church.
It is the night that Satanists and occultists the world around look
forward to for giving the most honuor to Satan and praying to him
intensely for the fall of the Church of Jesus Christ and the destruction
of families. It is also the main feast night for Witchcraft Covens (Wiccan)
and the like, who also celebrate their main feast-day with their
respective rituals. It is a night of casting spells In
the eight century, the Pope, in an effort to get the people to quit the
festival of Sam Hain, invented All Saints Day (Nov 1st). This
was an attempt to get the people to turn away from the horrible
observance of Sam Hain. The Church declared this day: ‘The Feast of
All Souls’. This is to celebrate the souls that have entered heaven
and it is related to ‘The Communion of Saints’. It was established
to supplant All Hallows when Christianity became the main Religion in
Britain, overthrowing the Pagan and Druidic Cult. In the Middle Ages
there was a great revival of satanic practices, witchcraft, and magic
– like there is today. During this time, the belief developed that
witches travelled on broomsticks to the black Sabbaths (witches’
celebration held every October 31) to worship Satan. They where guided
by spirits in the form of black cats. The Druids worshipped cats
believing them to be reincarnated evil people.
This
festival of death has survived all of the efforts of the Church to stamp
it out. The Church is joining the opposition by celebrating this
festival. The devil has been very successful in invading Christian
holidays like Christmas, Easter, providing counterfeits for the real
thing. Halloween is different; it has always
been satanic in nature. Satan has deluded the Christian into
celebrating his
festival. The bottom line is this: Halloween has been so deluded that
many parents don’t even realise all the symbolism there is in trick or
treating, wearing of costumes, decorating with jack-o’-lanterns, and
all the rest that goes with this evil holiday. It is the biggest day in
the life of a Satanist. It is not
an innocent holiday. Halloween
has never been a Christian holiday and it has no place in the life of a
Christian who believes in Jesus Christ. In
fact it is an abomination to God and we should take our stand firmly
against it and all it
entails. Many people will argue that it is just a myth, fantasy, or old folklore. They will even argue that it was put about by the church to frighten non believers into becoming Christians. If we believe in the Word of God, we know that this is not true. God continually warns us of these practices and the consequences for getting involved. People around the world, including some Christians, will say that Satan does not exist. In the Scriptures he is spoken of many times and in many forms from Genesis to Revelation. Our Lord Jesus had several encounters with Satan. See
Mat 4: 1-11, Mark 1: 12-13, Luke 4: 1-13. Even
today Satan is tempting God’s children and many Christians are being
drawn into it. In many areas of society it is said, ‘this is
what society is about today and we should move with the times and so
should the Church. You will get the argument that we are more
intelligent and advanced now; to be taken in by all this mumbo jumbo
about the effects of Halloween or any other non religious or practices. In
Deuteronomy 18: 9-14 the Lord says, "When
you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, do not learn to
imitate the detestable ways of the nations there. Let no-one be found
among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practises
divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts
spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone
who does these things is detestable to the Lord, and because of these
detestable practices the Lord your God will drive out those nations
before you. You must be blameless before the Lord your God. The nations
you will dispossess listen to those who practice sorcery or divination.
But as for you, the Lord your God has not permitted you to do so.". This
is a stern warning from God about getting involved in these kind of
activities. V13
says, "You
must be blameless before the Lord your God". To be
blameless, we first need to know that we are doing wrong. One of the
biggest problems is that we lack the knowledge and understanding of
these things. In
Hosea 4: 6. the Lord says, "My
people are destroyed from the lack of knowledge. Because you have
rejected knowledge, I also reject you as priests; because you have
ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children." In
Ezekiel 44: 23. it says, "They
are to teach my people the difference between the holy and the common
and show them how to distinguish between the unclean and the
clean.". All
Christians should be aware of what is right and what is wrong according
to God’s teachings. No matter what argument or fancy label the world
may put forward in defence, it is not what God wants. If we do these
things, we are taking part in the worship and sacrifices to other gods. 1
Cor 10: 19-23, Paul warns about partaking in this kind of celebration. v19-20,
Paul explains
what we are doing, "Do
I mean then that a sacrifice offered to an idol is anything? No, but the
sacrifice of pagans are offered to demons, not to God, and I do not want
you to be participants with demons." v20-21,
he talks about
being one or the other, "You
cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of the demons too; you
cannot have a part in both the Lord’s table and the table of
demons." In
Revelation 3: 15 it says, "I know your deeds, that you are
neither cold or hot. I wish you were either one or the other!" Here
God is asking us to make up our minds. 1
Corinthians 10: v22, "Are we trying to arouse the Lord’s
jealousy? Are we stronger than he?". We
are fools if we are. v23,
"Everything is
permissible, but not everything is beneficial. Everything is
permissible, but not everything is constructive." This
verse is about freedom of one’s rights and consideration of others. We
all have freewill given to us by the Grace of God. This allows us to
make choices. In making these choices and exercising them, we must
realise that they are not the only considerations. We must also consider
"the good of others". When people get involved in this
kind of practice, especially children, they can become greatly disturbed
and frightened about the dark and many other natural things in the
world. It is our duty and responsibility as leaders and parents to watch
over the children and to teach them the true Word of God, and to be
available at all times for those seeking help and comfort. James
1: 27, "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and
faultless, is this; to look after orphans and widows in their distress
and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." Virtually
all Halloween traditions can be traced back to the ancient Celtic day of
the dead. Halloween is a time of many mysterious customs. But each one
has a history, or at least a story behind it. The wearing of costumes
and roaming from door to door demanding treats, can be traced to the
Celtic period and the first few centuries of the Christian era. This
practice is called 'mumming', from which the practice of
trick-or-treating has evolved. To
this day, witches, ghosts and skeleton figures of the dead are among the
favourite disguises. The bobbing for apples and carving of vegetables go
back to the original harvest holiday of Sam Hain. In the light of this
information, we can see it is not just a harmless pastime. Christians
should make known to those in our parishes and families what Halloween
is really all about and celebrate the things that are more appropriate
for the Children of God instead. In doing so we will avoid these
spiritual and moral hazards to our own great reward and benefit. When
you look into its history, you find that its roots go deep into
heathenism, paganism, Satanism, and the occult; and the modern
expression is no
better!
