But .. there is only

one God

Tom McNulty

4th February 2002

Read:

Jeremiah: Chapter 36

Romans: Chapter 6

The Kingdom of God is a mystery you see,

And the Word of God will direct you to see.

That all in the world is not all of God's plan.

Listen to God, don't listen to man.

The Word is so simple, complete and divine.

It tells us, 'Love one another/and you will do fine.

Go and tell everyone your testimony too,

And tell what the Lord has done for you.

The miracles we see happen everyday,

All we have to do is fast and pray.

Give Him the praise and all the glory too,

And the mystery will work through you.

God is our hero, He is our King. He wants us to unite and lead our team. He sent His Son to die on a Cross, To save all His people so they would not be lost.

The outpouring of

Divine Love

GOD'S LOVE

"We know and rely on the love God has for us.
God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God,
and God in him
(I John 4:16).

God is a loving God. He loves each person with an immense love. No earthly love can compare with this love. The love of parent for child, the love between husband and wife are pale reflections of the wonderful love of God. God created us out of love. God sustains us in being out of love. Out of love for us God gave mankind complete freedom. God wants to share his glory and happiness with us. He has prepared many delights for us. The wonderful things he created on earth for us are little glimpses    of what he has in store for us in Heaven. Out of love for us God shared with us his creative power the ability to make things, to invent things. He delights in working with us. Parents cooperate with God to bring new life into the world. We are to cooperate with God in looking after the plants and animals.

Respect

Joe Aldred is Secretary for Minority Ethnic Christian Affairs for Churches Together in Britain and Ireland and former Director of the Centre for Black and White Christian Partnership.

Joe Aldred

Joe Aldred investigates the context of Caribbean British Christianity through the prism of their ethnicity and their faith. Christians from the Caribbean have settled in Britain since the late 1940s. In spite of high levels of rejection and misunderstanding they have shaped a new British identity which is dynamic, empowering and challenging. The author argues that this no longer majors in the victim-based dialectic of oppression/liberation. It is an unapologetic and prophetic identity which seeks to be respected and understood.
